1. Create an OKX Account
This is the first step in signing up for the OKX Exchange. It is more convenient to use the web for the account creation process, so click the link below on the screen you are viewing to access the sign-up page.

1) Go to the OKX Sign-Up Page via the Link
When you click the above fee discount link, you will see the message “Referral code” along with “Your commission kickback rate: 20%.”
If this message does not appear, it means the discount is not applied, so be sure to check it.
2) Enter Your Email and Verify
Enter the email address you want to use for registration, and a verification code will be sent to your email.
Enter the code you received from the email to proceed to the next step.
3) Mobile Phone Verification
Enter the country code first, then input your mobile phone number.
Enter the SMS verification code that has been sent to your phone.
4) Set Your Password
Your password must meet the following requirements:
At least 8 characters long
Must include lowercase letters, uppercase letters, numbers, and special characters
5) PASS KEY & KYC Verification
Proceed with the PASS KEY setup (fingerprint and facial recognition) and complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) identity verification process.
2. KYC (Know Your Customer) Verification Method
KYC stands for Know Your Customer and refers to identity verification.
It was introduced following the Special Financial Transaction Information Act, and without KYC verification, deposits and withdrawals cannot be made.
Your name and date of birth must also match between domestic and overseas exchanges.
Start KYC Verification after Logging into the OKX App
Open the app and click Log in
Complete the security verification such as puzzle solving or sequence matching
2) Select and Capture Your ID
Click the “Get Verified” button to start the KYC process.
Accepted forms of identification:
- Driver’s License
- National ID Card
- Passport
💡 TIP: For ID verification, simply take photos of the front and back of your ID; it will be automatically recognized.
3) Face Verification
Remove hats, glasses, and bangs, then look straight into the camera.
If your face is obstructed, the verification may fail.
4) Enter Additional Information
- Name (in English): Must match the English name used on domestic exchanges.
- Address: When entered in Korean, it will be automatically converted into English.
Make sure the name matches the English name registered on domestic exchanges, as this is required for deposits and withdrawals.
To check your English name on domestic exchanges:
Go to More → Tap on your profile at the top → View your English name.
3. How to Set Up Google OTP Security
It is strongly recommended to set up Google OTP for enhanced security. The steps are as follows:
Go to the Security Settings Page
Open the OKX app
Click the ▒ icon at the top left of the main screen
Tap on your email section
Go to Security Center → Authenticator App
Download the Google OTP app, then click Next
2) Set Up Google OTP
- After downloading the Google OTP app, save the Setup Key.
Keep the Setup Key in a safe place by writing it down on paper or storing it securely in an encrypted notes app. - Open the Google OTP app, paste the Setup Key into the key input field to complete the OTP setup.
- Finally, activate Google OTP by selecting Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) and completing the verification process.
4. Rewards After Signing Up for OKX
